An analytics asset can look finished while material risk remains unresolved in its source inventory, transformations, semantic model, relationships, measures, security, report bindings, or reconciliation.
Release readiness is therefore not a visual judgment. It is a bounded evidence decision tied to the intended use, known caveats, open defects, approval criteria, and effective date.
Inspect the complete chain
A controlled review begins with the package and source inventory, then evaluates source logic, Power Query, semantic structure, relationships, DAX, metadata, security, report bindings, QA, governance, and release conditions.
This sequence prevents a later layer from masking an earlier defect. A report page cannot resolve an incomplete source population. A measure cannot repair a broken relationship. A certification label cannot replace missing evidence.
Use bounded status
- Ready: evidence supports the intended use within the approved scope.
- Conditionally ready: use is permitted only with explicit conditions, caveats, or monitoring.
- Remediation required: material defects must be corrected before the intended release.
- Not ready: evidence does not support the proposed executive use.
Retain the release record
The decision should identify the evidence reviewed, tests performed, exceptions, owners, approval date, open risk, and next reassessment. That record makes the release defensible and gives future changes a controlled baseline.
The objective is not to promise perfection. It is to make the level of trust, scope, limitations, and required next action visible.
This ORDINIS™ perspective describes methodology and intended assurance value. An audit or review does not guarantee certification.
